A Married Woman: Act Two: Scene One

“I am the Lord’s servant,” said Mary; “may it happen to me as you have said.” - (Luke 1: 38) Yes, it happened and I am happy. And my ‘Guardian Angel’ is still beside me. He says, as always, he loves me and will be with me. But my heart says, Every woman should be blessed with a shoulder to bend on, A shoulder with no tongue, but ears. I remember the days when I used to search for ears, To lookout for some phantom listeners. Alas! I need them still. I want to cry aloud for my tears are blocked And they are stinking inside. I want to shout to the whole world As I am afraid, the stuck words may chock me. I want to sleep. I want to sleep till my dreams dry up, Thoughts burn and heart freezes. I want to sleep till I could stop thinking.
